I had the pleasure of meeting Amy a couple of years ago when I was photographing one of her best friends Weddings. Amy then contacted me a couple of months before her wedding saying that she was getting married and that she was wanting all day coverage but mainly in a photojournalistic style. As we went through the details of Amy and Mark’s big day I knew it was going to be one to remember.
The Wedding took place at a rustic location on the edge of Scarborough called “The Barn”. As I believe it was one of the first weddings at The Barn but it felt like they had been doing weddings for years. The staff are very friendly and the place is very different and special.
A couple days before their wedding I had gone up to The Barn and just before getting there I had noticed that the farmers had been baling the straw ready to be taken away. I had crossed my fingers that come Saturday the hay bales would still be in the field. Before the wedding I had checked to see if the field still had the bales and it did so after the Service I had asked the new “Mr and Mrs Taylor” if they would like to get in my car so I could drive them upto the field to get some images of the two of them. They agreed, and we were able to get some of my favourite images of last year.
The day was fantastic and I was able to photograph their special occasion just how I like to in a non intrusive way. I was able to sit back and let the day and love unfold in front of my camera.
I would like to thank Amy and Mark for choosing Studio41 to photograph their big day I had a brilliant time and I was able to capture fantastic memories for them.
